Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Spain and Portugal. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global leader in piping solutions, driving growth and innovation in the water industry.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing client portfolios in their assigned geographical area, maximizing sales and company targets. They will work closely with the Area Manager to establish individual objectives and strategies to achieve them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for specific sales regions and distributor budgets
  • Manage existing accounts, including large clients
  • Increase the number of customers in the region
  • Generate cross-selling opportunities with other SPS organization and projects
  • Collaborate with project department on engineering offers
  • Promote the Aliaxis brand and portfolio
Requirements:
  • 3-8 years of sales experience, with 3-8 years in a similar position
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Driving license required
  • Basic English and professional Spanish language proficiency
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional commercial skills combined with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in a B2B manufacturing organization
  • Sound business know-how and an appreciation of sales, marketing, and commercial processes
  • A balance between determination and perseverance, with empathy and ability to engage and align local buy-in with local needs
  • Strong drive, leadership, and influencing skills, with the ability to facilitate change
  • ERP user experience (preferably SAP)
  • Customer obsession, with a deep understanding of customers (internal and external) and a commitment to exceeding their expectations
  • Collaboration and influence, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and ensure alignment within and across groups
  • Drive accountability and results, accomplishing goals to the highest standards and driving accountability in self and others in alignment with the Aliaxis values
  • Think strategically, understanding the vision and mission of the organization and looking ahead to future trends, opportunities, and threats to develop a big picture view
  • Embrace and manage change, with the ability to adapt to and champion change and help others understand its impact
Working Conditions:

The employee will spend most of their time working on visits and in continuous contact with clients, traveling domestically (Spain and Portugal) for approximately 60% of the time. They may need to visit other locations for internal meetings and occasionally attend corporate business meetings or external offices.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is €45,000 - €65,000 per year, depending on experience.
