About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Team Lead to join our Preply Inc. team in Barcelona. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of Account Executives and driving business growth in the EMEA Mid-Market and Enterprise space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a High-Performing Sales Team: Develop, motivate, and lead a quota-achieving sales team of 4-8 Account Executives based in Barcelona.
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Collaborate with and support your team members to build effective territory sales plans based on account-based selling and a multi-touch engagement strategy.
  • Coach and Mentor Team Members: Coach your team members to conduct effective and engaging discovery meetings, live demos, and crafting customer-centric solutions that will help clients achieve their desired business outcomes.
  • Shadow and Support Team Members: Shadow Account Executives on discovery, recommendation, and closing calls to provide continued mentorship and support throughout the deal-cycle.
  • Hold Regular Business Reviews: Hold weekly business reviews, 1:1s, coaching sessions, and engaging team meetings to facilitate a collaborative, supportive team culture.
  • Forecast and Analyze Performance: Accurately forecast your team's performance against target to your leadership team.
  • Hire and Train New Team Members: Hire talented new team members and train them on sales strategy, processes, and best practices for business growth.
  • Contribute to Business Growth: Make a positive impact on Preply Inc., collaborating with your sales leadership by recommending new ideas, strategies, and processes that can accelerate business across EMEA.
  • Develop Business Footprint: Develop Preply Inc.'s footprint on specific countries.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with peers and cross-functional teams throughout the Preply business ecosystem (sales development, marketing, product, customer success, etc.) to ensure that strategies, plans, and growth initiatives are designed effectively and executed successfully.
  • Develop as a Thought Leader: Develop yourself as a thought leader and trusted advisor in the world of EdTech.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience in a mid-market sales team lead (manager) position or similar leadership role.
  • Sales Experience: 3+ years of experience in a full sales-cycle sales or account executive role.
  • Language Skills: Fully fluent in English and German.
  • Business Acumen: Experience in and an understanding of the EMEA business landscape, specifically to Mid-Market & Enterprise companies.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic market plan for new business growth, and the ability to guide your team members to do the same for their sales territory.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively articulate business unit wins, challenges, and opportunities to the leadership team.
  • Customer-Facing Skills: Customer-facing skills and experience at live events to support your team members when meeting prospects in person.
  • CRM Proficiency: Proficiency with Sales CRM solutions (such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomIQ).
  • Personal Qualities: A proactive attitude built around ambition, boldness, and collaboration.
