Company Overview: Hilton Diagonal Mar is a leading hospitality company that offers a unique blend of business and leisure experiences. Our hotel is a popular destination for large and small business events, conferences, and meetings.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for planning and executing large-scale events, conferences, and meetings for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning: Plan and coordinate high-profile events for up to 1000 attendees, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
  2. Room Allotment: Manage room allotment for in-house events and large convention blocks, maximizing hotel revenue and customer satisfaction.
  3. Facilities and Services: Have in-depth knowledge of our hotel's facilities, products, and services, and be able to communicate these effectively to clients.
  4. Commercial Strategy: Support the Commercial Director and Sales team in maximizing hotel revenue through upselling and cross-selling with external partners.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior team members and trainees, and contributing to their professional development.
  6. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction through timely collection of information, adherence to hotel policies and procedures, and conducting hotel site inspections and exit interviews.
  7. Data Collection and Reporting: Support data collection and reporting as required, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  8. Sales and Marketing Activities: Participate in sales and marketing activities, such as call days and sales blitz, to drive business growth and revenue.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualities:

  1. Customer Service: Deliver a high level of customer service under time pressure, demonstrating a positive attitude and commercial focus.
  2. Negotiation and Communication: Be comfortable during negotiations and tough conversations with clients or colleagues, possessing good time management and communication skills.
  3. Experience: Have at least two years of experience in Groups, Meetings & Events in a hotel or similar environment.
  4. Technical Skills: Knowledge of hotel management systems, such as Hilton PMS, is an advantage.
  5. Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, with Spanish and other languages being an advantage.
