Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reinsurance Broker to join our team at Wtw. As a key member of our Reinsurance team, you will be responsible for crafting strategies to quantify, mitigate, and transfer risk for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management and administration of the reinsurance portfolio, including contractual amendments, renewals, and providing post-renewal support and documentation.
  • Develop and implement broking strategies and placements of individual accounts, including new business and renewals.
  • Liaise with clients and reinsurance market participants to expand and enhance our portfolio.
  • Structure complex reinsurance programs to help local insurance companies better manage their risk portfolios.
  • Broker new risks in the worldwide company markets for best pricing, given the bespoke scope of coverage specific to each client's needs.
  • Negotiate policy wordings, coverage extensions, policy limits, deductibles, and subjectivities.
  • Bind risks and prepare contractual documents for internal record and client record.
  • Provide general advisory services and support to clients through email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience related to insurance, reinsurance, or broking.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in complex business situations.
  • Rigorous interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to maintain face-to-face and telephone contact with clients and underwriters.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with a strong focus on client service in a timely manner.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience successfully managing insurance-related consulting and/or projects and producing quality deliverables on time.
  • Demonstrate proficient presentation skills in client reports, recommendations, and presentations.
