Objective of the Role:
The primary goal is to establish, execute, and meet underwriting profit objectives aligned with the business strategy for Cyber and Infotech sectors. It is essential to maintain underwriting integrity through the effective application of underwriting protocols and controls, ensuring a consistent approach to risk selection, pricing, and optimal capacity utilization while being mindful of market dynamics.
Key Duties:
Evaluate and underwrite new Cyber & Infotech business as well as intricate renewals in accordance with established underwriting standards, budgetary constraints, and local business objectives. Portfolio Oversight: Formulate and implement an underwriting strategy, conduct forecasting, and manage the portfolio to secure underwriting profitability. Ensure quality assurance within the designated area by performing quantitative underwriting assessments to identify high-performing segments. Product Innovation: Prioritize and enhance products within the Cyber Line to boost client retention and attract new business. This role requires collaboration with colleagues across various business lines in Europe. Sales Strategy: Actively represent and promote Chubb to brokers, enhancing Chubb's visibility in the market. Develop a clear targeting strategy and a defined plan for broker visits. Maximize cross-selling opportunities in partnership with other business lines. Collaborate closely with the Middle Market Segment Leader to capitalize on new business prospects and strengthen our brand within the broker community. Compliance and Procedures: Adhere to all company policies, controls, authorities, and reporting obligations. Operate within the framework of Chubb's service standards, ensuring compliance with policy documentation, timely responses for new and renewal business, and ethical standards.Required Skills and Experience:
A university degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish, with strong English language skills. A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the insurance market, specifically in underwriting and sales, with a solid understanding of industry practices. Experience in a multinational corporate environment. In-depth knowledge of Cyber products and the Spanish insurance landscape. Proven experience in managing broker and client relationships, with the ability to negotiate profitable business in line with company underwriting guidelines. Results-oriented with the capacity to make independent decisions within the framework of technical underwriting guidelines and established strategies. Proficient in underwriting and risk assessment without dependence on the reinsurance market. Excellent communication and commercial acumen. Client-focused with a strong business orientation. Awareness of how individual underwriting choices affect overall business outcomes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
