Business Developer PLCs and Drives

Your Role and Responsibilities

We're seeking a skilled Business Developer to hunt new customers and grow our presence in the South Region. You'll be responsible for:

  • Hunting new customers on strategic channels, including OEMs, System Integrators, and Automation partners
  • Developing new applications to contribute to the sales region's budget across the PLCs and Drives portfolio
  • Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service and knowledge of customer needs and ABB solutions
  • Preparing sales plans and bids, ensuring technical and financial accuracy
  • Contributing to the identification and development of new market opportunities in collaboration with the wider Sales team
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • An engineering degree in electronics, automation, or electrics
  • More than 3 years of experience in Business Development and new Applications
  • Sound knowledge of PLC, HMI, and Variable Speed Drives
  • Experience in high-performance applications, such as cranes, winches, winders, mills, extruders, process lines, test benches, etc.
  • Knowledge in PLC programming
  • Self-learning skills and focus on new applications
  • Medium-high command of English
  • Experience in Industry 4.0 needs and Digitalization, with a motivation for new technologies
  • Availability to travel at least 3 days a week for customer visits in the South Region
