Commercial Sales Specialist for Grid Technologies

As a Commercial Bid and Sales Specialist for Grid Technologies at Siemens Energy, you will play a key role in providing finance support and coordination to the Grid Technologies Sales organization. Your primary responsibility will be to create budgetary and firm bids in close collaboration with the Authorized Bid Project Manager and the bidding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase based on SE's Project Excellence Guide and applicable guidelines.
- Analyze tender requirements, identify, lead, and mitigate risks in commercial areas including currency risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, insurance, export control & customs, and compliance.
- Consider customer and tax requirements when structuring a bid, guiding regional colleagues in the onshore parts, and creating transparent wall-to-wall calculations.
- Handle financial results according to set targets and optimize gross profit, cash flow, and assets in bids.
- Support the selection and evaluation of business partners.
- Lead negotiation of commercial terms and conditions and consortium contracts in coordination with relevant departments (Legal, insurance, guarantee, financing, VAT, customs, etc.).
- Support the regional head in preparing country and regional strategies for Grid Technologies activities.
- Support the Regional Head in Business controlling activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Legal, or Accounting.
- Proven understanding of Financial Controlling and Management Accounting (IFRS and US GAAP).
- 5+ years of finance experience, controlling, project management experience in commercial bid and sales management preferably in sophisticated projects.
- Great teammate with a cross-functional mentality and ability to connect with people at all levels.
- Experience dealing with corporate financial topics and supporting financial aspects of business development.
