Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Innovation Manager to drive business growth, foster innovation, and manage strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth and innovation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the department's strategic goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, academic institutions, and government agencies.
- Lead the negotiation, elaboration, and closing of commercial deals and develop competitive project proposals.
- Monitor market trends and emerging innovations to identify potential areas for project collaboration.
- Drive the sale of consulting services focused on IP management, technology transfer, and go-to-market innovation projects development.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting throughout the proposal development process.
- Contribute to the refinement of the business strategy and commercialization of internal and external products and services.
- Represent the organization at international conferences and meetings to promote capacities and establish partnerships.
Qualifications:
- STEM Bachelor's Degree. PhD, MBA, or RTTP certification will be considered advantageous.
- Master's Degree in Innovation Management, Technology Transfer, or a related field will be valuable.
- Experience in R&D and entrepreneurs consulting services, including tech commercialization and licensing, innovation strategies, and IP portfolios management.
- Knowledge of public R&D&I tenders and programs, including proof of concept proposals, EIC, I3, Innovation Fund, EIE, and EIT.
- Familiarity with the regional innovation ecosystem is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (C1 equivalent), additional languages will be advantageous.
