Senior Product Marketing Manager, Go To Market, Books

We are seeking a seasoned marketing professional to lead the strategy and execution for Books and Kindle marketing on off-Amazon channels. This role requires a strong analytical and project management background, with experience in marketing communications, web analytics, Affiliate Marketing, and/or CRM/email/push marketing.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention goals, and owning the marketing communications strategy for Books & Kindle across off-Amazon channels. They will develop, optimize, and execute effective campaigns, and present their strategy to senior leadership for new initiatives and customer experiences.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Marketing, Product, Engineering, Design, Legal, Public Relations, and Senior Leadership. International/inter-cultural work experience is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and execution for Books and Kindle marketing on off-Amazon channels.
  • Own end-to-end customer facing marketing campaigns, and improve processes to automate, scale, and innovate touch-points.
  • Drive continuous performance optimization, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance and patterns using key metrics and KPIs to measure success and inform future improvements strategies.
  • Develop and execute marketing programs across various stages of the customer lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience.
  • Build customer segmentation and targeting to deliver messaging that is personalized, complementary, and reinforced across our channels.
  • Proactively drive a measurement and learning framework for Books & Kindle across Outbound channels.
  • Drive A/B testing across channels, including creative imagery, messaging, offers, and CTAs.
  • Work closely with BI and partner teams to gain insights into customer behavior, drive insights, and develop targeted retention campaigns.
  • Partner with Books and Kindle teams to align on cross-functional efforts to retain customers.
  • Provide business requirements to Product Management and Engineering teams to build foundational systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in product/program/marketing management.
  • Strategic thinking with executing capability.
  • Experience partnering across a global organization and influencing across multiple teams.
  • Able to work in a diverse team.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and advance projects' business cases.
  • Experience managing products from inception to launch.
  • Experience defining and executing marketing strategies and GTM plans.
  • Savvy interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization.
