Job Title: Chief Financial Officer - Southern Europe

ArcelorMittal Construction is a leading global provider of steel building systems and solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team in Southern Europe.

About the Role:

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing finance strategies to enable the companies to grow, thrive, and maintain a healthy financial position within the marketplace. This will involve managing and coordinating the company's financial function across the regions, covering two main areas of finance:

  • Compliance: accounting, credit management, VAT and tax, policies and procedures, internal and external audit
  • Business partnering: multi-year plans, financing, budgeting, performance management, supporting post-acquisition integration

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in multi-national finance roles and a proven track record of success. They will be fluent in English, with advanced Spanish and Italian language skills, and will have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing financial performance and supporting cluster management and entity CEOs with economic and financial analyses
  • Business partnering with the AMC CFO and entity CEOs on operational and strategic financial management
  • Determining the company's operating results on a monthly basis, including accounts closing, management indicators, cost control, etc.
  • Supervising entity controlling/finance teams, managing and developing their skills
  • Aligning forecasting results with each entity in the region and Cluster CEOs and AMC CFO
  • Implementing and ensuring the correct application of accounting and financial procedures of the ArcelorMittal group within the entities
  • Steering the risk management process: internal control, external control across all relevant entities
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English, advanced in Spanish and Italian (mandatory), French and Portuguese are a plus
  • Masters degree in Economics, Finance or Auditing
  • 10+ years of experience in multi-national finance roles
  • Experience in M&A processes is a plus
  • Self-starter, innovative, results-oriented, strategic thinker
  • Advanced reporting and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels in the organization
  • Capability to work under pressure
  • Financial acumen
  • High level of organization
