Job Title: Chief Financial Officer Southern Europe

ArcelorMittal Construction is the leading global provider of steel building systems and solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team in Southern Europe.

Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing finance strategies to enable the companies to grow, thrive, and maintain a healthy financial position within the marketplace. This role will involve managing and coordinating the company's financial function across the regions, covering two main areas of finance: Compliance and Business Partnering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial performance and support cluster management and entity CEOs with economic and financial analyses required for operational and strategic management.
  • Partner with the Chief Financial Officer, local CEOs, and local finance teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Determine the company's operating results on a monthly basis, including accounts closing, management indicators, cost control, etc.
  • Supervise entity controlling/finance teams, manage and develop their skills, including training, performance management, career plans, etc.
  • Align forecasting results, including drawing up the annual budget and objectives, updating monthly forecasts, monitoring variances, etc.
  • Implement and ensure the correct application of accounting and financial procedures of the ArcelorMittal group within the entities.
  • Steer the risk management process, including internal control, external control across all relevant entities.
  • Supervise the customer credit team in applying the customer credit and collection policy.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English, advanced in Spanish and Italian (mandatory), French and Portuguese are a plus.
  • Masters degree in Economics, Finance, or Auditing.
  • 10+ years of experience in multi-national finance role.
  • Experience in M&A processes is a plus.
  • Self-starter, innovative, results-oriented, strategic thinker.
  • Advanced reporting and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels in the organization.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Financial acumen.
  • High level of organization.
  • Previous experience in similar positions in the manufacturing sector will be considered a plus.
  • Capable of self-navigating in a multinational environment and entrepreneurial organization.
  • Able to build bridges between different departments and external parties is crucial.
  • Able to work with virtual teams without direct reporting line is an absolute must.
  • Hands-on.
