Located in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula, Pt. Leo Estate is a world-renowned oceanfront property that showcases its luxury fine dining restaurant, Laura, under the Relais and Chateaux banner. The estate boasts an impressive 330 acres of vineyard, a sculpture park, cellar door, and three dining spaces. As the leader of our pastry department, you will oversee creating exceptional desserts, pastries, and baked goods while managing a team of skilled pastry chefs.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Pastry to join our culinary team in Merricks, Australia. Our kitchen is led by Culinary Director Josep Espuga, who has a rich background in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Mugaritz and Nahm. We are committed to growing professionally and offering the best in food, wine, service, and the arts in a sustainable and authentic manner.
This role involves overseeing all dining spaces and events across our Wine Terrace, 110-seat hatted Pt. Leo Restaurant (one chef's hat), and 45-seat fine diner Laura (two chef's hats / Relais & Châteaux, One Michelin Equivalent). Your primary responsibility will be to create memorable dessert experiences for our guests.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. In return, we offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards, and a comprehensive benefits package that reflects our commitment to your professional growth and well-being.
