Job Overview

Baker McKenzie is a global law firm seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Global Talent Development Manager EMEA. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to work with senior leaders and develop strategies to drive business growth through talent management.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled HR professional with extensive experience in talent development, particularly in a professional services environment. As a Global Talent Development Manager EMEA, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality business partnering support to our practice group leaders and business managers across EMEA.

Main Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Operate as a trusted advisor to designated practice group leaders and business managers, providing strategic guidance on people-related issues.
  • Talent Planning: Collaborate with office-based talent management colleagues to deliver engagement, team planning, recruitment, mobility, talent reviews, performance management, career development, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Coaching and Development: Provide individual career development coaching sessions, coordinate nominations for EMEA programs, and assess lawyer training needs in partnership with EMEA leadership and learning lead.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree focusing on human resources, industrial psychology, organizational development, management, or related fields.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in HR/talent management, preferably in a professional services firm environment, working across multiple locations and jurisdictions.
  • Skillset: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English required; demonstrated ability to solve problems and drive results with a sense of urgency; proven ability to influence and interact with senior leaders, strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits and bonuses.
