Job Title: GNC Modelling and Simulation Engineer

Elecnor Deimos is seeking a highly skilled GNC Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced GNC systems for our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop GNC systems for spacecraft, including navigation, control, and communication systems.
  • Develop and maintain simulation models for GNC systems, including environment, spacecraft, and equipment dynamics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GNC systems with other spacecraft systems.
  • Develop and maintain tools for model validation and versioning.
  • Support the development of CC-wide strategies for code re-usability and scalability.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in GNC systems, spacecraft dynamics, and simulation modelling.
  • Excellent programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink, C, and Python.
  • Experience with physical modelling using Simscape and object-oriented programming.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and providers worldwide.
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with flight operations in ESA/European programmes.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with automatic code generation and XML.
Education:
  • Recognized engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or related degree (e.g., Physics, Maths).
  • Postgraduate studies (MSc or PhD) in aeronautical/aerospace engineering with a focus on GNC systems and simulation modelling.
Language Skills:

Good level of English, spoken and written.
