Job Title: GNC Modelling and Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled GNC Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join our team at Elecnor Deimos. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating complex models and simulations for spacecraft and launch vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mathematical models and simulations for spacecraft and launch vehicle systems
  • Validate and verify models and simulations using various tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models and simulations into larger system designs
  • Develop and maintain tools and software for model validation and versioning
  • Support the development of code re-usability and scalability strategies
Requirements:
  • Strong background in MATLAB/Simulink and C programming languages
  • Experience with physical modelling and simulation tools such as Simscape
  • Good software development skills and experience with version control systems
  • Ability to understand and apply new concepts to engineering problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Object-oriented programming skills
  • Experience with XML and automatic code generation
  • Software engineering skills and experience with flight operations in ESA/European programmes
Education and Experience:
  • Recognized engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or related degree (e.g., Physics, Maths)
  • Postgraduate studies (MSc or PhD) in aeronautical/aerospace engineering with a focus on orbital mechanics, structural modelling, or model-based system engineering
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant professional experience

Good level of English, spoken and written

  • Able to work independently and on multiple tasks at the same time
