Job Title: GNC Modelling and Simulation Engineer

Elecnor Deimos is seeking a highly skilled GNC Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating simulation models for spacecraft and launch vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop simulation models for spacecraft and launch vehicles
  • Validate simulation models against real-world data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation models into larger systems
  • Develop and maintain tools for model validation and versioning
  • Support the development of code re-usability and scalability strategies
Requirements:
  • Strong background in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience with modelling of environment, S/C dynamics and equipment
  • Good programming skills in C and other languages
  • Ability to understand new concepts and apply them to engineering problems
Desired Skills:
  • Physical modelling with Simscape
  • Experience with Python and object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices
  • Experience in flight operations in ESA/European programmes
Education and Experience:
  • Recognized engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or related degree (e.g., Physics, Maths)
  • Postgraduate studies (MSc or PhD) in aeronautical/aerospace engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
Language Skills:

Good level of English, spoken and written

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple tasks
