About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Banquets Assistant Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our Banquet Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of every group function and providing exceptional service and leadership skills among your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm, sincere, and engaging service to our guests.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the Banquet Department on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the timely, precise, and expert execution of all banquets functions.
  • Creative, cost-effective scheduling of the banquet Leadership Team, Captains, Banquet Servers, and Coordinator.
  • Proactively analyze, develop, and revamp internal processes to create new ways of providing unique and innovative service ideas and incentives.
  • Ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure departmental adherence to, and awareness of, Health & Safety standards.
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit through active on-the-floor communication, training, and coaching.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping, kitchen, food and beverage, and front desk, to coordinate services and enhance the guest experience.

Requirements:

  • Degree with an emphasis in Hospitality/Restaurants management.
  • +3 years experience in food and beverage management and, preferably, in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Problem-solving & decision-making skills; analytical and highly detail-oriented.
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is required.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.
