About the Role

ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel producer, is seeking a highly skilled researcher to join its Digitalization team in the ArcelorMittal R&D Spain Lab. As a researcher in Artificial Intelligence for Predictive Maintenance, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of over 50 researchers working on Digitalization and AI applied to various industrial activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy AI models for anomaly detection, time series forecasting, and remaining useful life estimation in industrial settings.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of AI-driven predictive maintenance solutions.
  • Manage projects related to Predictive Maintenance, analyzing complex data to identify the best technical approaches.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Predictive Maintenance, promoting innovative practices to enhance operations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Operations Research.
  • 2+ years of experience as a data scientist, with a strong background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
  • Experience with Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Python.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with ETL/ELT tools.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques, enabling collaboration with data science teams.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools, such as Grafana, Tableau, and Power BI.
