Job Summary
Amazon is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our Central Operations team. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving performance and ensuring standard processes are followed for all daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Leadership: Manage daily operations of the team, ensuring all required tasks are executed on time, adhering to standard practices.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on daily and weekly performances, identifying trends and gaps in performance metrics, and taking corrective actions.
- Process Improvement: Execute best practices that improve customer, cost, and delivery partner outcomes, and develop processes and systems to achieve metrics.
- Scalability: Ensure all processes are scalable to meet the needs of a rapidly growing business.
- Standard Work: Create and drive scalable standard work that enables remote support of a complex business area.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives through quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making.
- Recognition and Communication: Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs for the Risk and Flow team.
Requirements
- Operations Experience: Has knowledge and experience in direct-to-customer fulfillment operations, as well as excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Project Management: Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, designing process solutions.
- Forward Thinking: A forward thinker, with an ability to manage high levels of ambiguity and thrive on change, with qualifications in Engineering, Operations, or related fields.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively and build partnership relationships with both agency management representatives and their delivery providers.
- Performance Metrics: Experience with performance metrics and process improvement, with demonstrable problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to change and adapt as our business grows, and adapt to changes in management.
