About the Role

Arrow Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Market Development Engineer to join our team. As a Market Development Engineer, you will play a key role in driving business growth and market expansion within the IP&E (Interconnect, Passive & Electromechanical components) segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive solution programs to accelerate market, sales, and profit growth within assigned markets or business segments.
  • Specialize in key market segments and technologies, owning the go-to-market strategy plan for assigned markets/business segments.
  • Conduct business strategy activities, including total available market, market share, segmentation, competitive analysis, emerging trends, SWOT, and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with the Business Unit on product road mapping, new product development, and product management activities to support assigned markets.
  • Work with suppliers, product management, and other product and engineering resources to clarify product and service needs, requirements, and priorities.
  • Create, gain approvals for, and execute comprehensive products and service offers.
  • Contribute to the development of communication programs and materials for use in business development.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and manage supplier and channel programs within assigned markets.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns, tools, and training programs aimed at driving increased market share and visibility for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead market or segment-based Voice of Customer activities to capture product reception and validate new marketing opportunities.
  • Build and manage influential relationships with key suppliers.
  • Make joint calls with Arrow and supplier sales personnel where strategically and tactically appropriate.
  • Be involved with supplier web training for new products, new product releases, and supplier promotions, and identify market/customer penetration strategies with appropriate products.
Requirements
  • Experience in the electronics industry or manufacturing in similar positions in sales, engineering, marketing, or product management.
  • Experience in IP&E.
  • Experience in engineering and business strategy – market & customer segmentation; competitive product benchmarking, financial analysis (ROI, pricing, scenario analysis).
  • Strong sales skills.
  • Full driving license and readiness for business travel.
  • English language skills – fluently in writing and spoken.
  • Spanish language skills (native or C1).
  • Expertise in engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Track record in delivering results in market/segment management or development of comprehensive solutions offers in business-to-business industry.
  • Understanding of performance measurement tools and technology.
  • Demonstration of project/team leadership and collaboration skills.
