Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Conference Director to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our sales team, you will support the Director of Sales in leading and managing all conference operations at our hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all conferences and events hosted at SLS Barcelona.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for conference and event services that align with the hotel's business goals and enhance its reputation.
- Prepare and manage budgets for conferences and events, ensuring financial targets are achieved and resources are utilized efficiently.
- Collaborate to develop and execute promotional strategies to attract clients and maximize event bookings.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather client feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and guest satisfaction, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Lead and manage a team of conference executives and support staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth execution of events.
Requirements
- Degree in Hotel Management or related studies.
- 3 years of experience in hospitality / luxury Events or Sales & Marketing department.
- Proficient knowledge of computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
