Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with our sales force within a branch office to identify and pursue new business opportunities. This will involve developing systems and processes for effective prospect identification, qualification, and management, as well as selling and closing new shippers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of non-asset based 3PL sales experience and a bachelor's degree. They will also have excellent verbal and written skills, be effective at problem resolution, and be self-motivated and driven with an eagerness to work as a team player.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Work with the sales force within a branch office to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Develop systems and processes for effective prospect identification, qualification, and management
• Sell and close new shippers
• Build a book of business
• Carry out strategies through prospect contact, proposal development and presentation, effective follow-up and account management
• Work with the transportation brokers to maximize the volume of loads from new customers through ongoing sales meetings and strategy sessions
Requirements
• 3 years of non-asset based 3PL sales experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Effective at problem resolution
• Self-motivated and driven with an eagerness to work as a team player
• Ability to work independently but also in a team environment
• Computer and technology literate
• Ability to travel as needed for sales
