Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Analyst to join our Central Operations team. As a Business Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in driving improvement in processes and technology used within the operational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Partner with other analysts and business intelligence engineers in planning and analytics to build analytical solutions to deliver on business goals.
- Propose and implement business metrics for senior management reviews and work with business intelligence and data engineers to design and develop data infrastructure to support business growth.
- Help define and drive the technology road-map.
- Perform deep-dives to find the root causes behind variances of key parameters over a given time-period.
- Harness data to create business requirements documents and guide actionable technology.
About the Team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.
Requirements
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent.
- Relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related.
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Excel, and statistical analysis tools.
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Relevant experience using business intelligence reporting tools (Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes, etc.).
- Experience in working with Redshift.
- Previous experience in creating detailed Business Requirement Documentation.
