This pivotal role is fundamental to delivering our long-term national strategic plan, overseeing a portfolio of 40 capital expenditure (Capex) projects with an annual spend of £100 million on new production plants and equipment overhauls. The Head of Project Management Office will lead the PMO team, defining resource requirements, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring project delivery aligns with strategic goals.

The Opportunity

Join us as the Head of Project Management Office, where you'll establish and lead the PMO for Capex projects across our organization. This exciting opportunity allows you to shape the way the team operates, deliver best practice, and drive operational efficiency and growth.

You'll oversee all capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects deliver expected efficiencies and align with strategic goals. You'll also provide seamless project delivery through engaging, motivating, and influencing cross-functional matrix teams.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for Capex projects.">
  • Define resource requirements and liaise with stakeholders to secure necessary support.">
  • Oversee all capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects deliver expected efficiencies and align with strategic goals.">
  • Provide seamless project delivery through engaging, motivating, and influencing cross-functional matrix teams.">
  • Ensure compliance with capital management frameworks and governance standards.">
  • Proactively manage risks and schedules for individual projects and the total portfolio.">
  • Report regularly on progress using appropriate methodologies and escalate key issues to senior management when necessary.">

You'll be a strategic thinker with an engineering background and strong technical understanding. Your proven track record in delivering CAPEX projects within an industrial environment will be essential to thrive in this dynamic team.
