Vestas Global Procurement is a leading Procurement function within the world's leading OEM for sustainable and renewable energy solutions. We are responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas, including leading global and cross-functional teams, developing and implementing commodity strategies across modules, creating and capturing end-to-end value, supplier relationship management, and supplier account management, performance metrics monitoring, and development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the definition and deployment of the procurement strategy
- Drive the standardization of processes within the department
- Create standard tools
- Drive the implementation of the sustainability strategy in Construction Procurement
- Manage tender processes, bid development, and sub-contract negotiations
- Develop and manage the supplier portfolio
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a field related to engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in subcontracting and purchasing mechanical and electrical works, preferably in the wind sector
- Construction project management experience is valued
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience in project-based purchasing and pre-contract bid management, category management, and Supplier Relationship Management
- Fluent English is mandatory, additional languages are valued
- Leadership and influencing skills, team working competences within a Matrix organization, and stakeholder management
About the Role
You will join an experienced team with a high level of strategic exposure with senior leaders. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to understand business requirements and to ensure a sustainable, scalable, and high-performing supply base. In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of a global portfolio of onshore and offshore wind infrastructure projects.
