About the Role

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our Procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of commodity strategies across modules, creating and capturing end-to-end value, and managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deploy procurement strategies
  • Drive the standardization of processes within the department
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies in construction procurement
  • Manage tender processes, bid development, and subcontract negotiations
  • Develop and manage supplier portfolios

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in subcontracting and purchasing mechanical and electrical works, preferably in the wind sector
  • Construction project management experience is highly valued
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Experience in project-based purchasing, pre-contract bid management, category management, and supplier relationship management
  • Fluent English is mandatory, with additional languages valued
