About the Role:

ZF Friedrichshafen AG is seeking a highly skilled EHS Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate site leadership on existing and pending legislation applicable to the site, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations.
  • Provide day-to-day EHS support to the plant, including equipment release, hazardous material management, workplace condition monitoring, and organizing EHS Kaizens with employees.
  • Report EHS performance, issues, and development of corrective actions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs, including orientation for new employees, regulatory topics, and periodic refresher training for leaders and BBS coaches.
  • Support ZF's EHS key programs and activities, ensuring alignment with corporate and governmental requirements.
  • Report EHS performance in corporate and governmental systems, maintaining accurate records of compliance obligations and actions.
  • Facilitate EHS process optimization and cost deduction activities, supporting lean workshops and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain EHS procedures, work instructions, and guidance materials, ensuring consistency and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and management.
  • Observation skills and attention to detail, with a calm demeanor to handle stressful situations and emergencies.
  • Industry knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
