Key Responsibilities

The Regional EHS Program Manager plays a crucial role in the development, execution, and ongoing enhancement of Cisco's global EHS initiatives. This position ensures adherence to all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws as well as our internal policies. You will engage with various departments to foster a culture of safety across the organization.

As the Regional EHS Program Manager, you will oversee the Internal Prevention Services for Cisco, ensuring compliance with local regulations while supporting regional EHS objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating and executing global EHS policies, procedures, and programs that align with regulatory requirements and Cisco's strategic goals.
  • Delivering EHS training and education to employees, contractors, and partners to cultivate a safe and environmentally conscious workplace.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies on EHS issues, including reporting, permitting, and inspections.
  • Leading investigations and root cause analyses for EHS-related incidents, identifying corrective actions, and developing preventive measures to avert future occurrences.
  • Conducting regular EHS audits, risk assessments, and inspections to pinpoint potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Managing EHS documentation and records in accordance with local legal requirements and Cisco's document retention policies.
  • Overseeing local safety committee meetings and corporate safety initiatives.
  • Supporting regional EHS goals across the EMEA region.
  • Serving as a bridge between the EHS team and local partners, providing expertise, guidance, and support to facilitate understanding and compliance with EHS processes and requirements.

Who You Are

We seek a highly organized individual with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive management approach. You should be collaborative, open to feedback, and a self-starter who takes the initiative to drive solutions using your strengths and industry-standard methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of relevant experience in EHS or a related field.
  • Accredited training in at least three of the following specialties: occupational medicine, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and psycho-sociology.
  • Specialist training in the aforementioned fields totaling no less than 600 hours.
  • Proficient in both Spanish and English, with strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Strong technological aptitude and willingness to learn new tools and software.
  • Proficient in basic office software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in project management.
