Job Overview

Amazon is seeking a talented Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards in supporting server and network hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • 7x24 roster duty in data center operations
  • Incident first responder and onsite hands-on support
  • Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guidelines
  • Maintain proper media operations according to process guidelines
  • Capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guidelines
  • Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas
  • Innovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency

Requirements

  • 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts
  • Degree / High Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines
  • Understanding of incident response and prioritization
  • Good attention to details
  • Good written and verbal communication in English
  • Experience in network cabling including optical

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of data center experience
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
  • Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Knowledge of continuous process improvement
  • Literacy in security and customer data protection
