Job Title: Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

Amazon is seeking a talented Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and operating our global data centers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in server and network hardware and operation systems maintenance and troubleshooting. You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest standards of safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • 7x24 roster duty in data center operations
  • Incident first responder and onsite hands-on support
  • Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guideline
  • Maintain proper media operations according to process guideline
  • Capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guideline
  • Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas
About the Team

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

Requirements
  • Degree / High Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines
  • 1 year experience in server / network hardware and operation systems maintenance / troubleshooting
  • Experience in network cabling include optical
  • Sound understanding on incidents response and prioritization
  • Good written and verbal communication English
  • Good attention to details
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience on Data Center Operations
  • Knowledge on data center networking
  • Knowledge on cloud computing
  • Literacy in security and customer data protection
