Lead Data Science Manager

At OLX, we're seeking a highly skilled Data Science Manager to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our Data Science and Analytics team, you'll play a critical role in establishing Generative AI video services for all OLX customer units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Data Science aspects in the Video Pack, building models and deploying them to production.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, translating their requirements into achievable projects.
  • Collaborate with other teams, like infrastructure and data engineering, to get things done in an elegant and timely manner.
  • Work with Product Analytics to track the KPIs of different ML use cases and measure the impact for our customers.
  • Partner with the Experimentation team to integrate the KPIs and their proxies to the Experimentation (A/B testing) platform.

Requirements:

  • Located in Spain.
  • Very strong analytical skills.
  • Solid background in statistics and modeling.
  • Good knowledge of Python (experience with Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas).
  • At least, 4 years of (hands-on) experience with Machine Learning.
  • Very good knowledge of NLP and Deep Learning.
  • Good knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Good understanding of engineering best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL.
  • Experience with MLOps.
  • Proficient in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work in diverse, multi-functional teams.
