Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Science Manager to join our global data science team at Almirall. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the development of advanced analytical solutions and helping the company become a data-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the data science function, including the development of Artificial Intelligence / Advanced Analytical models and algorithms, the integration of data science insights into business decisions, and the optimization of data-driven processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize high-impact business problems and develop solutions using data-driven approaches.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization and communicate complex data science insights in a clear and actionable way.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's data architecture, data sources, and analytical tools to ensure high-quality data inputs and outputs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data science and bring new ideas and approaches to the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data science concepts, tools, and techniques, including machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and data visualization.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets and extracting insights from unstructured data.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact data-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English, both oral and written.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • Practical experience with the Big Data Analytics landscape and related tools. Previous experience running analytics on cloud platforms (Azure is an advantage).
  • Experience working abroad and with international teams (preferred).
