About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our exceptional team of over 30 SQL and data visualization specialists. Our Data Analytics department is organized around 11 problem spaces that mirror the structure of the entire company, ensuring that every decision we make at Cabify is data-driven.

In this role, you will work in a multidisciplinary squad with other disciplines such as Product, Engineering, Growth, and Operations. We follow agile methodologies within each analytics group and foster an environment of knowledge and resource sharing among the department.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for leading technical data projects autonomously to enhance the company's analytics capabilities. This will involve:

  • Exploiting large-scale data warehouses to perform efficient SQL.
  • Defining ETL and abstract data models in our data warehouse with Airflow.
  • Documenting and maintaining your code and queries in Gitlab.
  • Defining the squad analytics and reports using Tableau / PowerBI to communicate results and monitor KPIs regularly.
  • Generating and executing ideas for exploratory analysis to shape future projects and provide action recommendations.
  • Defining KPIs and presenting findings to squad members and senior management to guide business and product decisions.
  • Leading discussions with the engineering team to define and design everything required to satisfy our data needs.
  • Helping design new features alongside product managers and engineers, giving data insights, measuring their performance and testing their business impact.
  • Developing Data Sources to use across the organization, thus empowering business by exploring data in a trusted environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of working experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Proficient in writing and understanding complex SQL and working with large data sets.
  • Working expertise of Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Product Analytics experience with Amplitude, Datadog, Mixpanel, or similar.
  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • A Master's degree in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related.
