Global Localization Quality Strategist

About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Global Localization Quality Strategist to join our team. As a trusted partner for our clients, you'll be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to ensure they meet our squad's standards for on-time delivery, client requirements, and project quality.
Your primary focus will be managing service quality for our clients, understanding their capacity needs, and quality expectations. You'll work closely with our Language Services team to meet these needs and monitor customer Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) to ensure targets are met.
This is a one-year contract with the potential for a longer-term commitment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage various localization quality initiatives for product launches, marketing campaigns, CRM, emails, and web content under the supervision of the Localization Quality and Innovation Program Manager.
- Participate in meetings with the localization team and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product owners, internal reviewers, engineers, marketers, and others across the company.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication of localization quality requirements, share insights, resolve quality escalations, and ensure alignment with the localization team's overall strategy.
- Collaborate with internal and third-party quality and review teams.
- Track the resolution of bugs affecting localized product content quality and functionality.
- Develop and implement processes to maintain or improve quality and efficiency.
- Incorporate industry best practices and innovation into our localization quality translation strategy.
- Test possible quality tools and technologies to support the team's strategic goals.
- Contribute to and generate internal reports and presentations.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- End-client experience preferred.
- Experience working as a quality manager or quality coordinator preferred.
- Experience working on large-scale, multilingual localization projects.
- Knowledge of localization quality frameworks and metrics (MQM, BLUE, ISO, or ASTM standards).
- Experience with Smartling, Jira, and Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Forms).
- Experience with data dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) preferred.
- Proven communication, problem-solving, and cross-collaboration skills with different teams and stakeholders.
- Able to balance quality excellence, efficiency, and costs.
- Experience creating and analyzing various types of quality reports (linguistic errors, localization bugs, or user experience forms).
