Senior Project Occupational Health and Safety Advisor

At Oldcastle Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead investigations into safety-related events and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety training programs and materials.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and management on safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in large construction projects.
  • Sound knowledge of local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations related to occupational health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
