We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Oldcastle Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans and procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, engineering, etc.).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
