Accounts Receivable Specialist

Permanent Position / Marbella, Spain

Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely completion of month-end financial processes. Collaborate closely with the Finance Department for accurate reconciliations. Assist in the processing and delegation of student payments. Guarantee proper handling of manual Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) for students. Ensure all cash receipts are recorded and deposited daily. Monitor common email accounts to provide timely responses. Support financial aid, recruitment, and registration initiatives as necessary. Confirm that end-of-day procedures are executed accurately. Adapt to various duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting is preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Receivable, ideally within an educational institution. Proficiency in Spanish, English, and French is required. Familiarity with desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Windows and Word. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential. Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, is advantageous. Must demonstrate self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills are necessary.

We have established a new Financial Services team to deliver accounting support across our business units, and we are seeking experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialists to contribute to our mission.

This role involves managing daily cash receipts, processing Financial Aid manual EFTs, handling credit card transactions, and resolving issues related to NSF and foreign currency checks, while also providing excellent customer service in response to student inquiries, under the guidance of the AR Supervisor. This position is also responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient month-end processes.
