Job Description

Position: Market Development Engineer

Job Summary: Arrow Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Market Development Engineer to join our team. As a Market Development Engineer, you will be responsible for determining, developing, scaling, and leading the implementation of successful solution programs that accelerate market, sales, and profit growth within the associated markets or business segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis: Conduct business strategy activities to include total available market, market share, segmentation, competitive analysis, emerging trends, SWOT, and product positioning.
  2. Product Development: Collaborate with the Business Unit on product road mapping, new product development, and product management activities to support the assigned market.
  3. Supplier Management: Work with supplier, product management, and other product and engineering resources to clarify product and service needs, requirements, and priorities.
  4. Offer Development: Create, gain approvals for, and execute comprehensive products and service offers.
  5. Communication: Contribute to the development of communication programs and materials for use in business development.
  6. Supplier and Channel Programs: Evaluate, recommend, and manage supplier and channel programs within the assigned market.
  7. Marketing Campaigns: Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns, tools, and training programs aimed to drive increased market share and visibility for internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Customer Feedback: Lead market or segment-based Voice of Customer activities to capture product reception and validate new marketing opportunities.
  9. Relationship Building: Build and manage influential relationships with key suppliers.
  10. Joint Calls: Make 'joint' calls with ARROW and supplier's Sales personnel where it is strategically and tactically appropriate on a regular basis.
  11. Supplier Training: Be involved with supplier web training for new products, new product releases, and supplier promotions, and identify market/customer penetration strategies with the appropriate products.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Experience in electronics industry or manufacturing in similar positions in Sales, Engineering, Marketing, or Product management - must have.
  2. IP&E; Experience: Experience in IP&E;.
  3. Business Strategy: Experience in engineering and business strategy - market & customer segmentation; competitive product benchmarking, financial analysis (ROI, pricing, scenario analysis) - must have.
  4. Sales Skills: Strong sales skills.
  5. Travel: Full driving license and readiness for business travel - must have.
  6. Language Skills: English language skills - fluently in writing and spoken.
  7. Spanish Language Skills: Spanish language skills (native or C1).
  8. Executive-Level Stakeholders: Expertise in engaging executive-level stakeholders.
  9. Results Delivery: Track record in delivering results in market/segment management or development of comprehensive solutions offers in business-to-business industry.
  10. Performance Measurement Tools: Understanding of performance measurement tools and technology.
  11. Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstration of project/team leadership and collaboration skills.
