Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Global Portfolio Development Director. This position involves leading the development and execution of a growth strategy for Hitachi Energy's portfolio within the Transmission & Distribution Utility (T&D) industry segments.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive portfolio growth strategy, aligning with market demands and the company's overall goals. You will also create and manage portfolio roadmaps, identify market gaps, and ensure the portfolio remains competitive and relevant to customer needs.

A key aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders and key customers. You will gather feedback through customer sessions to refine product offerings and value propositions, ensuring that Hitachi Energy stays competitive and customer-focused in the marketplace.

As a Global Portfolio Development Director, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, including business units and partners, to design innovative solutions that address emerging business needs and differentiate the company from competitors. You will also conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to stay ahead of industry trends, providing strategic insights to business units and product groups to drive portfolio development.

To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of the Distribution industry segment, including market trends, challenges, and opportunities. A good understanding of the overall power utility industry would be beneficial, particularly for Digital applications. Additionally, you should possess strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee the development of sales strategies and lead diverse international teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 8-10 years of sales and marketing experience, ideally in the specified industry segment. They will have proven experience in managing strategic accounts, developing sales strategies, and executing marketing plans, as well as expertise in relationship building with senior decision-makers, customers, and stakeholders.
