As a Digital Pathology Application Consultant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our business growth by delivering winning Informatics & Workflow based solutions that enhance our customers' workflow and help them achieve their goals.

This role involves close collaboration with our Sales organization to provide the Informatics & Workflow expertise required to win complex projects in the anatomical pathology (AP) market. Our key focus will be Digital Pathology, Specimen Tracking, and Workflow.

As a Workflow Optimization Specialist, you'll be responsible for auditing customers' IT ecosystems and advising on necessary improvements and change steps to adopt their desired solution. This will involve detailed discussions around topics such as PACS, DICOM, Storage & Archiving Integration, LIS systems, Data workflow, and sample workflow symbiosis.

You'll also obtain buy-in from important customer IT stakeholders and present the Informatics component of the solution, handling technical objections and clarifications. Additionally, you'll explain and describe to non-IT versed Leica and customer stakeholders how the Informatics component of the configuration contributes to achieving the customer solution.

This role will involve some travel for business, and you must be able to travel accordingly. We're looking for a highly skilled individual with a successful track record designing and selling informatics-based solutions in a hospital/lab environment.

Key Requirements:

  • University and/or professional qualification around IT & Informatics, Pathology, Histology, Biomedical Science, and/or Imaging, or software applications
  • Successful track record designing and selling informatics-based solutions in a hospital/lab environment
  • Knowledge of Mirth, HL7 bidirectional and unidirectional LIS integration
  • Previous experience with histology equipment and laboratory processes
  • Fluency in English – Spanish. Portuguese and regional Iberian language would be a plus

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Successful record of dealing with external parties, such as third-party IT vendors
  • Demonstration software applications and presenting solutions to a wide customer audience
  • Knowledge of the role PACS, DICOM, Integration, and Archival plays in hospitals and labs
