About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Category Manager to join our European Marketplace Consumables Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and improvement of the Consumables category in Spain and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Strategy Ownership: Act as the business owner of the Consumables category in Spain and projects in Europe, auditing and reporting on input and output metrics, and developing a complete understanding of KPIs impacting the business.
  • Project Management: Lead a variety of projects to drive growth and improve Customer and Seller Experience across Consumables in Europe, partnering with cross-functional teams to prioritize, inform, and analyze initiatives.
  • Business Development: Work with direct Selling Partner recruitment teams to help identify strategic accounts and improve the customer experience for the category, liaising with Selling Partners to obtain anecdotes and data to drive a continuously improving experience.
About the Team

The role is part of the European Marketplace Consumables Team responsible for the Marketplace Consumables EU performance. The team includes a Head of Seller Services from five of the biggest European marketplaces, as well as Category Managers and Strategic Account Managers.

Requirements
  • University degree in an analytical field (engineering, statistics, economics, business administration, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in Consulting, Product Management, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, or Business Intelligence roles that have included extensive quantitative analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Results orientation and good organization skills, with a high degree of ownership and experience managing multiple priorities
  • Interest and experience in building and managing projects collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis such as customer segmentation and/or behavior
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA from a top-tier business school
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Medium to advanced knowledge of SQL
