About the Role

The Software Asset Manager will be a key member of the Software Asset Management Team at Roche, responsible for ensuring the company's software assets are properly managed and optimized. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders across the organization to promote awareness and understanding of software asset management best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with stakeholders to promote and maintain software asset awareness and education.
  • Work with Product Managers and Product Line Leads to identify software optimization opportunities and develop strategies to improve software value delivery.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of software licensing and auditing techniques, as well as software asset management tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective governance and compliance with software vendors' license use rights.
  • Develop and implement plans to optimize software risk and spend, and improve the organization's ability to manage software assets.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working with virtual teams in a cross-functional organization.
  • Demonstrates customer, quality, cost, and delivery focus.
  • Advanced analytics, gap analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of IT environments, desktops, virtualization, servers, cloud, and SaaS.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of software licensing and auditing techniques, as well as software asset management tools and processes.
Preferred Skills
  • SQL Server scripting experience.
  • Proactive and self-organized individual with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
