Job Summary

Samsung is seeking a highly skilled Field Test Engineer to join our team. As a Field Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our mobile network products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance testing on live networks to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Perform field tests on mobile devices, including radio and audio performance tests, software verification, and interoperability testing with network operators and SIM card manufacturers.
  • Provide informed feedback on interface usability and phone design concepts.
  • Collaborate with QA and R&D Engineers in various locations to discuss defects, interpret technical reports, and analyze network logs.
  • Manage test project schedules and contribute to regular progress and final project reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with new features and techniques of mobile devices and networks.
  • Travel for business to various locations, including Korea, Europe, and other parts of the world.
  • Create test cases based on local test environments and validate voice-activated artificial intelligence features.

Requirements

  • Fluent written and spoken English and native Spanish language.
  • Ability to make decisions, work independently, and organize own workload.
  • High self-motivation and ability to work alone, setting priorities, working to tight deadlines, and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Good presentation, communication, and planning skills.
  • Approachable, flexible, team-oriented, and self-assertive when required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong PC skills, especially in MS Office Excel.
  • Good understanding of documentation requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of GSM-UMTS-LTE-5G networks and applications infrastructure (recommended).
  • Engineering background in telecommunications is an advantage.
  • Strong log analytical skills (recommended).
  • Python language for automation (recommended).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in mobile field testing and experience in IMS testing, such as RCS, VoLTE, and 5G.
  • Experience with European telecom operators.
