Position Summary
As a Field Test Engineer at Samsung, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile networks and devices. This role requires a strong technical background in telecommunications and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Testing: Conduct quality assurance testing on live networks to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Device Testing: Perform field tests on mobile devices, including radio/audio performance tests and software verification.
- Interoperability Testing: Test the compatibility of our devices with network operators and SIM card manufacturers.
- Usability Feedback: Provide informed feedback on the usability of our devices and their interfaces.
- Collaboration: Work closely with QA and R&D engineers in various locations to discuss defects, interpret technical reports, and analyze network logs.
Requirements
- Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken English and native Spanish language.
- Decision-Making: Capable of making decisions, working independently, and organizing own workload.
- Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, communication, and planning skills.
- Teamwork: Approachable, flexible, team-oriented, and self-assertive where required.
- Technical Skills: Strong PC skills, especially MS Office Excel, and a good understanding of documentation requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in mobile field testing and experience in IMS testing such as RCS, VoLTE, and 5G are preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Excellent knowledge in GSM-UMTS-LTE-5G Networks and applications infrastructure is recommended.
