PhD Researcher in Sustainable Logistics and Mobility

About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our Sustainable Improvement Research Group at Tecnun - Escuela De Ingeniería-Universidad De Navarra. The successful candidate will conduct research on sustainable logistics and mobility, in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab through the City Science Lab Gipuzkoa project.
Research Objectives
The PhD student will work on developing tools to assess the sustainability impacts of companies' operations and identify opportunities for mobility improvement. The research will involve data analysis, simulation, and collaboration with stakeholders from the private and public sectors.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The PhD candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting research on sustainable logistics and mobility
- Developing and publishing research papers in top-tier journals
- Collaborating with the research group, stakeholders, and PhD colleagues
- Participating in meetings and conferences related to the research
- Working on a broader project of the City Science Lab Gipuzkoa
Qualification Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a solid academic background in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration, with strong English writing and oral skills. Intermediate programming skills in Python are required. Relevant practical experience and personal qualities such as good communication and teamwork skills are also essential.
