About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Deusto Sustainable Research Group at Universidad de Deusto. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing knowledge about the food loss and waste problem by developing data-driven models to identify behavioral patterns, analyze causes, and evaluate the efficiency of food loss and waste prevention strategies in terms of sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply data analytics techniques to diagnose generation patterns of food loss and waste
- Design and develop machine learning and system dynamics models to analyze the impact of food waste prevention strategies
- Lead data collection and model design by coordinating multidisciplinary and international work teams
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and collaborate with group members
- Contribute to competitive research projects and proposals
Requirements
PhD degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Industrial or similar, with experience in Artificial Intelligence. Applicants who completed their PhD from 2019 onwards are welcome.
What We Offer
An allocation of 32,985.15 to 42,000 gross euros per year will be granted, distributed into 15 monthly installments, depending on the candidate's experience. The contract will be for 3 years, and the University of Deusto supports the inclusion of people with disabilities.
