Job Title: Corporate Counsel for EU Compliance Initiatives

This role is with Mygwork, an inclusive employer and a member of the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community. We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to support compliance initiatives across Amazon's EU Stores.

About the Role:

This Corporate Counsel will counsel business leaders on complex issues including the future structure of the business, enabling third-party sellers to provide a great experience to customers, and implementing product compliance and other strategic laws affecting Amazon's stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Counsel on regulatory matters from product compliance to fundamental rights.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to develop risk assessment mechanisms and design and implement scalable mitigation processes.
  • Work hands-on with the business as lead counsel advising of requirements, risks, and prioritization.
  • Communicate strategic impacts and recommendations to senior business leadership.
Requirements:
  • Outstanding academic qualification.
  • A minimum of over 5+ years post-qualification legal experience at a law firm and/or a successful transactional background, including extensive commercial and/or retail experience.
  • In-house experience is a plus.
  • Experience in product compliance or online marketplace obligations is valuable.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
