About the Role:

The Product Specialist – Manual & Robotic Sales Representative is responsible for driving the growth of Stryker's Joint Replacement business by directly selling Hip and Knee products to Orthopedic Surgeons and optimizing customer service. This individual will provide clinical product support to end users, along with guidance and assistance during Mako surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Front-Line Clinical and Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for surgeons and hospital staff, providing technical support and guidance before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  2. Training and Guidance: Train and guide surgeons and hospital staff in the use of Stryker's Mako robot, including set-up, breakdown, and related intra-operative activities to ensure precise and successful surgical outcomes.
  3. Pre-Operative Planning: Use proprietary software to prepare pre-operative CT scans for assigned cases and assist surgeons in pre-operative implant planning, implant sizing, and positioning.
  4. Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to the robot independently or escalate matters to the Field Service team as needed.
  5. Partnership with Field Service Team: Partner with the Field Service team to ensure technical issues are resolved and maintenance is delivered.
  6. Product Knowledge and Mastery: Build knowledge of Stryker implants and instrumentation and mastery of the robot and its different applications to become a trusted resource for all case coverage types (robotic and manual).
  7. Clinical Education and Training: Educate surgeons and staff on the clinical benefits of the robot and best practices with confidence, enthusiasm, and respect.
  8. Training and Certification: Complete Mako 101 and 201 training for all robotic-assisted surgery applications and obtain certification for each application needed to perform independent case coverage.

  9. Valid Driving License: Possess a valid driving license.
  10. Ability to Meet Customers on an Equal Footing: Possess the ability and self-confidence to meet customers on an equal footing to discuss medical and economic issues.
  11. OR Experience: Possess experience in an Operating Room (OR) environment.
  12. Willingness to Travel: Demonstrate a willingness to travel to meet customers and attend training sessions.
