About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Content Specialist to join our team at IQVIA Argentina. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for linguistically and culturally interpreting written material to maintain or duplicate the structure and style of the original text while ensuring the accuracy of ideas and facts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver High-Quality Translations: Partner with our team to deliver translations on time and meet our quality commitments to clients.
  2. Adhere to Client Requirements: Carefully follow provided material and instructions to meet client requirements.
  3. Research Industry-Specific Terminology: Research and apply industry-specific terminology to reflect the meaning and tone of the source content.
  4. Quality Assurance: Cross-reference specialized glossaries and translation tools to ensure translation quality.
  5. Proofreading: Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
  6. Collaboration: Work with our team to identify gaps in instructions or external issues affecting client commitments.
  7. Asset Development: Contribute to updating or improving glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides, and other internal assets.
  8. Feedback and Quality Management: Provide thorough feedback on translation quality and manage quality and on-time delivery related to feedback.
Requirements
  1. Native Speaker in Target Language: Be a native speaker in the target language, German.
  2. Excellent Language Skills: Possess excellent spoken and written skills in the target language, German.
  3. Fluency in Source Language: Be fluent in the source language(s), English.
  4. Translation Experience: Have at least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents.
  5. Education and Experience: Hold a tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience, or no university degree and at least 5 years of translation experience.
  6. Time Management and Independence: Be able to work according to tight deadlines and independently.
  7. Translation Management Systems and CAT Tools: Have experience with translation management systems and CAT tools.
  8. Desirable Skills: Experience with memoQ and prior experience as a translator with a translation and localization company are desirable.
