About the Role:

The Internal Medical Translator is a key member of the IQVIA Translations Services team, responsible for delivering high-quality translations that meet the needs of our clients. As a native French speaker with excellent written and spoken skills in the target language, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our translations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the IQVIA Translations Services team to deliver translations on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Research industry-specific terminology to ensure that translations accurately reflect the meaning and tone of the source content.
  • Collaborate with the IQVIA Translations Services team to identify gaps in instructions or external issues that may affect the commitment to the client.
  • Provide thorough and relevant feedback on the quality of translation work performed by other linguists or strategic partners.
  • Manage quality and on-time delivery related to feedback as the point of contact for IQVIA Translations Services.

Requirements:

  • Native speaker in target language: French
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in the target language: French
  • Fluency in source language(s) spoken and written: English
  • At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents.
  • Tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience, or no university degree and at least 5 years of translation experience.
  • Ability to work according to tight deadlines and independently.
  • Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools is a must.
  • Experience with memoQ is desirable.
  • Prior experience as a translator with a translation and localization company is desirable, yet not essential.
